Robert's 25-year career has embraced a range
of senior management roles
from business planning and change management to product development and pricing.
He has hands-on experience of organisational
change, having been personally responsible for the design and conduct of
enterprise transformation projects.
Under the auspices of the
internationally renowned Cass Business School, part of London's City
University, he has conducted major research study
programmes. Notably, with the aid of the CEOs of eight of the UK’s
leading general insurers he has worked to isolate the business
characteristics of successful companies in the Insurance Industry of the
future.
Currently he is researching
how top-level corporate leaders drive innovation in a range of industry settings.
This is a joint Cass Business School and Chartered Insurance Institute
study - Leadership for Innovation. The research to date shows
that a totally different leadership style is needed to meet the challenges
of the next decade with the focus of the leader moving from strategist to

Robert
is also researching what the business environment will look like after
the recession. He has identified four possible outcome scenarios.

Robert offers a range of consultancy and learning and development services.
Robert
Davies holds an MBA and a PhD degree. His doctorate was completed at
the Cass Business School where he is a Visiting Senior Fellow.
Robert is also a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a
member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs. He is a
contributor to the academic and industry literature. He conducts
